Here is the festival’s full live programme and the rest of the online programme.

The festival will stage 11 live shows with top-level personalities.  We will be able to discover the sounds hidden inside a piano through the genius of the composer and mastermind behind Zeitkratzer, Reinhold Friedl, through his Inside Piano concept; or delve into the interactive experience proposed by the artist, director and choreographer Klaus Obermaier with his show Dancing House

The collective of creators Clammy will invite us to reflect on the prominence of digital platforms on the stage under the title A New Time?, while composer and artist Alberto Bernal will present an adaptation of his travelling concert Mobile at the Huerto Calixto y Melibea.

The commitment against racial and gender discrimination and the denunciation of the abuse of human rights will be present in the festival through such works and performances as the one presented by visual artist and poet Regina José Galindo with her work Detrás de la Ventana (Monumento a las asesinadas), a monument to the many murdered women in Spain and other countries such as Guatemala.

The contemporary music scene has been represented through the performances of Lina_Raül Refree, ONoff Ensemble, Neopercusión and Ensemble Flashback, among other activities.

Also on view will be the play Qualcosa nascerà da noi by the Galician Pablo Fidalgo and performed by Juan Loriente or pasdedeuX, a linguistic research installation that uses discarded elements, conceived for 16 record players and two performers.

Among the visual projects offered by #FACYL2020 is the talent of the artist Gonzalo Borondo, widely recognised on the international art scene and whose works and installations have toured different museums and public spaces in European cities. His installation NON PLUS ULTRA will be on show for the first time in Spain, on loan expressly by the Art Museum of Rome for this festival.

We also invite you not to miss the online masterclasses with Lola Arias and Katie Mitchell, two of the most influential contemporary artists of the moment. We also encourage you to take part in a workshop on gesture and percussion with Ensemble Flashback, which requires prior registration on our website (limited places).

Finally, we also present a cycle of five documentary films to enjoy online, including films directed by contemporary directors, some of them guests of the festival, such as Teatro de Guerra by Lola AriasOrestes de Mosul by Milo RauQuarry by Meredith MonkLe Dernier Caravansérail by Ariane Mnouschkine and Angélica (una tragedia) by Manuel Fernández-Valdés
