A Filetta’s music is a journey. One could say that it is a challenging, daring and contemporary vocal and polyphonic proposal, although it comes from powerful oral tradition.

The repertoire of this vocal sextet is a faithful reflection of what has been, since the beginning of the 1980s, its “journey”: a trajectory that outlines a movement that began in a centuries-old oral tradition to later affirm itself in the twists and turns of a free and uncomplicated writing. More than 40 years of existence, rich in experiences and encounters, have given rise to songs both sacred and profane with multiple influences, film scores with Bruno Coulais, creations for Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s choreographies, choruses for an ancient tragedy or pieces for a requiem requested by the Saint-Denis Festival.
